Icons are much more than a lowly clip art substitute for more desirable graphics. Icons are all around us. We are guided and informed by them every day. They have been used for tens-of-thousands of years to communicate critical ideas between humans. They are very closely connected to language itself and often fall between picture and letter form. A well-designed icon can communicate an important and often complex idea as fast as our minds can think.

Obsessed with Icons

For many years I have had a love affair with icons. This web site showcases my icon design and my creative thinking and process. On the pages of this site I will explore other ideas but the majority of the content will be about icons.

My logo and icon designs have been been published in numerous books including Corporate Identity USA, the Best of Logolounge.com series, the LogoLounge.com Master Series and the LogoPond.com book.

I am available for hire to design individual icons, icon sets and/or logos. I have been a graphic designer for nearly 20 years and have designed award-winning logos for dozens of small and large companies.
